Our client is seeking an associate with 4–6 years of relevant transactional experience in trust and estate planning and administration to join its national Private Client Services Group. The team advises individuals and families on sophisticated planning, trust, estate, and tax matters.
The Work
- Assist individuals and families with sophisticated estate and tax planning techniques, including planning involving complex transfer-tax considerations.
- Work on the creation and administration of family offices and support clients’ trust and estate administration needs.
- Handle trust administration matters, including trust decanting and modification.
- Contribute to the administration of complex estates and related planning and tax analysis.
- Help develop plans involving business interests, art, and other unusual assets.
- Analyze complex transfer-tax issues as part of estate and tax planning matters.
- Assist with tax controversy matters before the Internal Revenue Service.
- Work as part of a national Private Client Services team serving individuals and families across a varied range of planning and administration matters.
What You Bring
- Four to six years of relevant transactional experience in trust and estate planning and administration.
- Strong knowledge of trust and estate planning and administration matters.
- Experience with trust administration, estate administration, or related planning work.
- Ability to analyze complex transfer-tax issues and contribute to sophisticated tax and estate planning.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong academic credentials.
- LL.M. in tax preferred, but not required.

Compensation & Benefits
The stated annual compensation range is $365,000–$420,000, depending on qualifications and experience; the role is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, 401(k), medical, dental, and vision insurance, personal medical and parental leave, up to ten paid holidays, and family care benefits.
