Position overview

Our client is seeking an entrepreneurial associate with 3–7 years of substantive experience to join a growing privacy, cybersecurity, and data innovation practice in Palo Alto. The team represents leading global platforms and disruptive technology companies on critical regulatory, litigation, product, and business strategies and disputes.

The Work

  • Advise leading global platforms and disruptive technology companies on significant privacy, cybersecurity, regulatory, product, and business strategy matters.
  • Contribute to counseling engagements involving privacy, cybersecurity, and technology company issues, with opportunities to work across a broad range of client needs.
  • Assist with government investigations and related litigation involving privacy, cybersecurity, and technology matters.
  • Support clients addressing incident response and crisis management matters, where relevant to your experience.
  • Work on Federal Trade Commission consumer protection-related matters and online platform regulation issues.
  • Engage with a collaborative team handling consequential disputes and regulatory matters for technology-focused clients.

What You Bring

  • 3–7 years of substantive experience at a leading law firm.
  • Strong experience in privacy, cybersecurity, and/or work with technology companies.
  • Experience across a broad range of counseling matters is desirable.
  • Experience with government investigations and related litigation is desirable.
  • Incident response and crisis management experience is a plus.
  • Experience with Federal Trade Commission consumer protection-related matters is desirable.
  • Experience involving online platform regulation is a plus.
  • Strong academic credentials and an entrepreneurial approach to practice.

Compensation & Benefits

The stated annual compensation range is $310,000–$420,000, with the offer depending on qualifications and operational considerations.
