A confidential opportunity is available for a Privacy Associate with 1–3 years of experience to join a Cybersecurity, Privacy & Data Protection practice in Washington, D.C. The group advises clients on privacy compliance, data protection, and related regulatory matters across the intersection of regulation, technology, and risk.

The Work

  • Advise clients on privacy compliance, data protection, and related regulatory matters.
  • Contribute to regulatory compliance reviews and due diligence involving privacy and data protection considerations.
  • Support investigations and disputes involving cybersecurity, privacy, or data protection issues.
  • Assist with board and policy advisory work, including counseling on privacy-related risks and responsibilities.
  • Help clients prepare for data breaches and respond to incidents as part of the group’s preparedness and response work.
  • Work across a practice that addresses the full scope of cybersecurity, privacy, and data protection matters.

What You Bring

  • One to three years of relevant experience.
  • Experience advising clients on privacy compliance, data protection, and related regulatory matters.
  • Familiarity with U.S. privacy laws; familiarity with international privacy laws is preferred.
  • Strong academic credentials.
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Comparable law firm experience.

Compensation & Benefits

The estimated salary range is $225,000–$260,000, based on the 2026 Cravath base scale; this is an estimate rather than firm-stated compensation.
