Position overview

Our client is seeking a Patent Litigation Associate with 3–6 years of experience to join its team in Dallas. The role offers work on sophisticated patent disputes, representing clients in both offensive and defensive matters across varied technologies and industries.

The Work

  • Contribute to offensive and defensive patent litigation matters, helping clients pursue or protect commercially valuable ideas and technology.
  • Work on competitor-versus-competitor patent disputes involving parties seeking to advance or defend business interests through litigation.
  • Assist in defending clients against patent lawsuits brought by non-practicing entities.
  • Collaborate with attorneys who have engineering and scientific backgrounds to develop an understanding of the technology at issue in complex cases.
  • Support patent litigation work for clients in telecommunications, computer software and hardware, financial services, and manufacturing.

What You Bring

  • 3–6 years of experience in patent litigation.
  • Experience working on patent disputes in an offensive, defensive, or both capacities.
  • Familiarity with competitor-versus-competitor patent litigation and/or non-practicing entity claims.
  • Ability to engage with complex technical subject matter and communicate about patent disputes in a business context.
  • Interest or experience serving clients across technology, financial services, or manufacturing industries.
