Our client is seeking a Patent Litigation Associate with 3–6 years of experience to join its San Francisco team. The practice represents clients in sophisticated patent disputes, both offensively and defensively, and works with businesses across a wide range of technology and commercial sectors.
The Work
- Contribute to offensive and defensive patent litigation in competitor-versus-competitor disputes, helping clients pursue or protect their commercial interests.
- Work on the defense of patent lawsuits brought by non-practicing entities, helping clients navigate complex claims and litigation risks.
- Support comprehensive litigation solutions designed to address patent disputes successfully and cost-effectively for clients.
- Engage with matters involving telecommunications providers, computer software and hardware providers, financial institutions, and manufacturers.
- Work with a team whose lawyers bring engineering and scientific backgrounds to understanding the technologies at issue in client matters.
What You Bring
- Three to six years of legal experience, consistent with a junior- or mid-level associate position.
- Experience or a demonstrated practice focus in patent litigation.
- Ability to contribute to complex patent disputes involving offensive or defensive litigation positions.
- Strong capacity to understand and work with technical subject matter across different industries.
- An engineering or scientific background may be relevant to the technology-centered practice; advanced degrees are held by many lawyers on the team.

Compensation & Benefits
