Our client is seeking a Patent Litigation Associate with 3–6 years of experience to join its patent litigation team in Austin. The practice handles sophisticated disputes involving commercially valuable technology and works with clients to develop litigation solutions responsive to their business objectives.
The Work
- Contribute to patent litigation matters pursued offensively or defended on behalf of clients, working with the team to advance complex cases.
- Support competitor-versus-competitor patent disputes, engaging with the legal and commercial issues that shape these matters.
- Help defend clients against patent lawsuits brought by non-practicing entities.
- Work on matters involving clients in telecommunications, computer software and hardware, financial services, and manufacturing.
- Engage with complex technical subject matter alongside lawyers who bring engineering and scientific backgrounds to understanding client technology.
What You Bring
- Three to six years of experience as an associate, with a background in patent litigation.
- Experience or demonstrated interest in complex patent disputes, including offensive or defensive litigation.
- Ability to engage with technical subject matter and apply it in the context of patent litigation.
- Interest in matters involving competitor disputes, non-practicing entities, or technology-focused clients.
