Our client is seeking a Patent Litigation Associate with 3–6 years of experience to join its New York City team. The practice handles sophisticated patent disputes, representing clients offensively and defensively in complex cases across a wide range of industries and technologies.
The Work
- Contribute to patent litigation matters in which clients pursue or defend claims involving commercially valuable patents and business-critical technology.
- Work on competitor-versus-competitor disputes, helping clients address complex patent issues in direct industry competition.
- Assist in defending lawsuits brought by non-practicing entities and support cost-conscious approaches to resolving complex cases.
- Collaborate with a team providing comprehensive patent litigation solutions tailored to clients’ business goals and litigation needs.
- Engage with matters involving telecommunications, computer software and hardware, financial institutions, and manufacturers.
What You Bring
- 3–6 years of experience as an attorney, with experience in patent litigation.
- Experience or demonstrated interest in offensive and defensive patent disputes.
- Familiarity with competitor-versus-competitor litigation and/or defense of claims brought by non-practicing entities.
- Ability to engage thoughtfully with complex patent matters involving technology and commercially valuable ideas or information.
- Interest in serving clients across industries such as telecommunications, software and hardware, financial services, and manufacturing.

Compensation & Benefits
The stated salary range is $235,000–$410,000.
