Our client is seeking a Patent Litigation Associate with 3–6 years of experience to join its patent litigation team in Houston. The practice handles sophisticated patent disputes for clients across a broad range of industries and technologies.
The Work
- Contribute to offensive and defensive patent litigation between competitors, helping address complex disputes involving commercially valuable technology.
- Work on the defense of patent lawsuits brought by non-practicing entities, supporting strategies to navigate cases effectively and cost-consciously.
- Assist with sophisticated patent litigation matters that call for careful engagement with clients’ technical and business contexts.
- Gain exposure to matters for telecommunications providers, computer software and hardware companies, financial institutions, and manufacturers.
- Support patent litigation solutions across a range of sectors of the global economy and varied technology areas.
What You Bring
- Three to six years of experience as an associate, consistent with the level of this position.
- Patent litigation experience and an interest in handling sophisticated patent disputes.
- Experience or familiarity with offensive or defensive patent litigation between competitors.
- Experience or familiarity with defending patent suits brought by non-practicing entities.
- Ability to engage with patent matters involving technology-intensive businesses and varied industries.

Compensation & Benefits
Compensation is estimated at $260,000–$390,000 based on the 2026 Cravath base scale; this is an estimate and not firm-stated compensation.
