Our client is seeking a California-admitted litigation associate with 4–5 years of experience to work on environmental and products liability matters in San Diego. The position combines substantive case responsibility, written advocacy, and direct client interaction within a collaborative litigation practice.
The Work
- Research and analyze legal issues to inform case preparation, litigation strategy, and the development of persuasive arguments.
- Draft clear, well-reasoned briefs, motions, and correspondence, applying strong judgment and attention to detail.
- Help manage complex matters from inception through resolution, supporting trial preparation, negotiations, settlements, and other case activities.
- Participate in key litigation events, including court hearings, depositions, negotiations, and trials.
- Communicate with clients, provide regular matter updates and advice, and respond promptly and professionally to questions and concerns.
- Collaborate with lawyers and business professionals to develop case strategies and pursue favorable outcomes in environmental and products liability disputes.
What You Bring
- 4–5 years of litigation experience.
- Admission to practice law in California.
- Experience handling matters in California state court.
- Experience in environmental litigation, products liability litigation, or both.
- Prior experience at a law firm or government agency.
- Strong legal research, analytical, writing, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Sound professional judgment, careful attention to detail, and effective organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate persuasively and work both independently and collaboratively.
