Our client is seeking an intellectually curious associate to join a dynamic, growing practice in Palo Alto. The role offers the opportunity to handle complex, innovative transactional matters for companies working across technology, consumer products, entertainment, and life sciences.
The Work
- Handle transactional matters focused on intellectual property and technology transactions, contributing to complex work involving innovative technologies.
- Research and analyze legal issues arising in technology and IP-focused transactions, applying sound judgment and creative problem-solving.
- Develop clear, persuasive written work product to support transactional matters and communicate analysis effectively.
- Work both independently and collaboratively with colleagues to advance matters for clients across technology, consumer products, entertainment, and life sciences.
- Build experience with clients and matters connected to technology and life sciences sectors, with exposure to cutting-edge technologies.
What You Bring
- At least three years of experience handling transactional matters, with a focus on intellectual property and technology transactions.
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and creatively while contributing successfully as part of a team.
- Excellent academic credentials and references.
- Technology or life sciences sector experience preferred.
- An undergraduate or advanced degree, or work experience, in computer science, electrical engineering, life sciences, or another technology-related field is preferred but not required.
- Currently licensed, or eligible to become licensed, in the jurisdiction where applying.

Compensation & Benefits
The supplied compensation figure is an estimate of $260,000–$390,000 based on the 2026 Cravath base scale, rather than a firm-stated salary range.
