Our client is seeking an associate to work on intellectual property, technology, and commercial transactions in Seattle. The practice advises organizations across a range of industries on agreements that support research, technology services, procurement, and other commercial needs.
The Work
- Draft, negotiate, and analyze a range of IT, intellectual property, and commercial agreements, contributing to the development and review of transaction documents.
- Work on research and development agreements that support collaborative or internally driven innovation initiatives.
- Prepare and negotiate SaaS agreements for technology services and products.
- Handle procurement and consulting agreements, addressing the terms governing vendor relationships and professional services.
- Gain exposure to matters involving technology, healthcare, life sciences, consumer products, financial services, entertainment, and nonprofit organizations.
What You Bring
- At least one year of experience handling transactional matters, with a focus on intellectual property and technology transactions.
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and creatively while contributing effectively as part of a team.
- Experience in the AI or life sciences sectors is preferred.
- Some experience with privacy and data security is preferred.
- An undergraduate or advanced degree, or relevant work experience, in IT, computer science, electrical engineering, life sciences, or another technology-related field is strongly preferred.
- Must be licensed to practice law in Washington or eligible to become licensed there.

Compensation & Benefits
The position offers responsibility for drafting, negotiation, and analysis, and the client-stated Washington salary range is $235,000–$365,000, with eligibility for an hours-based bonus.
