Our client is seeking a Corporate & Private Equity Associate with 3–6 years of experience to join its Dallas team. The practice handles a broad range of private equity transactions and fund matters, representing investors, emerging managers, general partners, and limited partners.
The Work
- Support private equity transactions, including leveraged buyouts, independent sponsor transactions, rollups, minority and junior capital investments, and going-private transactions.
- Contribute to matters involving purchases of troubled companies, including transactions involving businesses in or out of bankruptcy.
- Work with a team that represents emerging managers and other general partners in forming private equity, growth equity, venture capital, mezzanine, and real estate funds.
- Support the representation of significant limited partners in fund formation matters across the fund strategies handled by the practice.
- Gain exposure to a range of investment structures and transaction types within a corporate and private equity department of more than 90 attorneys.
What You Bring
- Three to six years of relevant associate experience in corporate and private equity practice.
- Experience with private equity transactions, such as leveraged buyouts, independent sponsor deals, rollups, or minority investments.
- Familiarity with junior capital investments, going-private transactions, or acquisitions involving troubled companies is relevant to the practice.
- Interest or experience in fund formation involving private equity, growth equity, venture capital, mezzanine, or real estate funds.
- Ability to contribute to matters representing emerging managers, general partners, limited partners, or private equity investors.
