Our client is seeking a Public M&A Senior Associate with 5+ years of experience to join a global M&A practice in New York City. The role offers cross-industry public and private company transaction work, direct collaboration with senior partners, and the opportunity to develop as a trusted strategic advisor to clients.
The Work
- Work on sell-side and buy-side mergers and acquisitions involving public and private companies, contributing across a broad range of transaction matters.
- Address securities-law issues related to M&A transactions involving public companies and support the team’s public company transaction work.
- Collaborate directly with senior partners on M&A and public company matters, with the opportunity to build a versatile skill set and grow as a strategic advisor to clients.
- Gain exposure to cross-industry transactions, including matters involving technology and life sciences companies and businesses, as well as private equity and real estate practices.
- Contribute to headline-grabbing transactions within a global M&A practice with a substantial volume of work across industries.
What You Bring
- At least 5 years of legal experience focused substantially on mergers and acquisitions and transactional work.
- Experience with M&A transactions involving public companies and private companies.
- Experience with both sell-side and buy-side M&A transactions.
- Knowledge of securities laws relevant to public company transactions.
- Ability to contribute to a broad range of M&A and public company matters and work directly with senior partners.
- Interest in developing as a trusted strategic advisor to clients across varied industries.

Compensation & Benefits
Estimated base compensation is approximately $365,000 based on the 2026 Cravath scale; this is an estimate, not firm-stated compensation.
