Position overview

Our client is seeking a 4–7 year associate to join its energy and infrastructure M&A practice in New York City. The position offers sophisticated, cross-disciplinary transactional work combining corporate M&A and project finance for clients across the infrastructure, energy, power, and renewables sectors.

The Work

  • Advise private equity sponsors and other clients on complex acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and strategic transactions in the infrastructure and energy sectors.
  • Lead and support infrastructure M&A, joint venture, and project-financing-related transactions, with involvement throughout the process from bid through closing.
  • Work with sponsors, project developers, funds, utilities, and infrastructure owners and operators on transactions tailored to their strategic and operational needs.
  • Handle matters across infrastructure, energy, power, and renewables, gaining exposure to a range of sectors and transaction structures.
  • Contribute to cross-disciplinary matters that combine corporate M&A execution with project finance considerations.

What You Bring

  • 4–7 years of experience in private equity M&A.
  • Specific experience representing energy and infrastructure private equity sponsors.
  • Experience advising on complex acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, or other strategic transactions.
  • Ability to lead and support transaction execution from bid process through closing.
  • Experience or knowledge relevant to infrastructure, energy, power, or renewables transactions.
  • Interest and capability in sophisticated work that brings together corporate M&A and project finance.

Compensation & Benefits
