Position overview

Our client is seeking an associate with 5–8 years of experience to join its M&A and general corporate team in Palo Alto. The practice advises corporate clients on transactions and company matters, with a particular focus on the technology industry.

The Work

  • Advise corporate clients on acquisitions and dispositions, taking responsibility for key workstreams through the transaction process.
  • Support minority investments and similar corporate transactions, including the analysis and execution of deal terms and related documentation.
  • Counsel clients on general corporate matters and emerging companies matters in the technology sector.
  • Work directly with clients, manage substantial responsibilities with autonomy, and contribute to the development of client relationships.
  • Collaborate with the M&A and general corporate team on a range of technology-focused corporate matters.

What You Bring

  • Approximately 5–8 years of relevant experience, consistent with the targeted law school class years of 2018–2021.
  • Experience handling M&A transactions.
  • A strong understanding of corporate law, with a specific focus on the technology industry.
  • Experience advising on acquisitions, dispositions, minority investments or similar transactions.
  • Ability to take on significant responsibility and work with autonomy.
  • A driven, business-development-oriented mindset and interest in developing client relationships.
