Our client is seeking a full-time M&A Associate with 3–5 years of relevant experience to join its San Francisco practice. The role centers on public and private company mergers and acquisitions and other strategic transactions, with work involving companies in the technology and life sciences sectors.
The Work
- Play an integral role on public and private company mergers and acquisitions and other strategic transactions, helping move matters forward from diligence through execution.
- Draft definitive transaction agreements and contribute to the preparation and negotiation of key deal documents.
- Assist with due diligence and disclosure letters, coordinating the work and information flow needed to support the transaction.
- Coordinate with subject-matter specialists and other deal participants to address issues across the transaction process.
- Assist in managing client relationships and communicate with clients as part of the team handling strategic transactions.
- Work on transactions involving companies in the technology and life sciences sectors.
- Build a dedicated M&A practice; this is a full-time M&A position rather than a general corporate role.
What You Bring
- Three to five years of relevant M&A experience.
- Experience in one or more of public company M&A, private company M&A, and other strategic transactions.
- Experience serving as an integral associate on M&A transactions.
- Ability to draft definitive transaction agreements.
- Experience assisting with due diligence, disclosure letters, and other aspects of a strategic transaction.
- Ability to coordinate with subject-matter experts and contribute to managing client relationships.
- Superior academic credentials and/or law firm experience.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.

Compensation & Benefits
The stated salary range is $260,000–$365,000 based on year classification, and discretionary merit bonuses may be awarded.
