Our client is seeking a litigation associate with 4–9 years of experience to join its Los Angeles trial team, with work in Los Angeles and Century City. The opportunity offers substantial involvement in complex litigation and trial preparation, with the scope to take meaningful ownership of matters and courtroom responsibilities.
The Work
- Develop case strategy and help advance complex litigation matters from early case assessment through trial, arbitration, or evidentiary hearings.
- Research and draft dispositive and contested motions, helping shape the legal and factual record in high-stakes disputes.
- Take and defend depositions and direct discovery, including coordinating expert work and developing the evidentiary record.
- Prepare witnesses and examine or cross-examine them at trial, arbitration, and evidentiary hearings; prior witness examination experience is particularly valued.
- Work across matters that may include securities, class actions, antitrust, white collar, entertainment, and trade secret disputes.
- For more senior associates, serve as a senior member of trial teams, own the pretrial record, and supervise and develop junior associates.
What You Bring
- Four to nine years of litigation experience, with substantial exposure to complex litigation and trial work.
- Strong legal research and writing skills, including the ability to draft dispositive and contested motions.
- Experience taking or defending depositions and managing discovery and expert work.
- Demonstrated trial or arbitration advocacy; experience examining or cross-examining witnesses is especially relevant.
- Experience across the litigation spectrum is welcome, including securities, class actions, antitrust, white collar, entertainment, or trade secret matters.
- Government trial experience in a U.S. Attorney’s Office, state attorney general’s office, district attorney’s office, or comparable practice is welcome.
- Strong law school credentials; district court or appellate court clerkship experience is preferred but not required.

Compensation & Benefits
The stated annual compensation range is $310,000–$450,000, depending on qualifications and operational considerations, and benefits include health care, retirement benefits, paid sick and vacation time, parental leave, basic life insurance, Flexible Spending Accounts, and discretionary performance-based bonuses.
