Position overview

Our client is seeking a Litigation Associate with three to five years of general litigation experience to join its New York office. The role involves work across the litigation process, from pleadings and discovery through motion practice, trials, and appeals.

The Work

  • Draft and respond to complaints and other pleadings in general litigation matters.
  • Handle discovery work, including the tasks involved in developing and responding to discovery.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare written work product to support litigation matters.
  • Contribute to motion practice, including preparing and responding to motions.
  • Work on matters that proceed through trial, with involvement in trial-related litigation work.
  • Support appellate matters and the preparation of appellate work.

What You Bring

  • Three to five years of general litigation experience.
  • Experience with multiple stages of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, trials, and appeals.
  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Stellar academic credentials.
  • Comparable law firm experience.

Compensation & Benefits

The estimated base compensation range is $260,000–$365,000, derived from the 2026 Cravath base scale; it is an estimate and is not firm-stated compensation.
