Position overview

Our client is seeking a mid-level associate with at least three years of healthcare law experience to join its Life Sciences & Healthcare Regulatory practice in New York City. The practice advises healthcare providers, suppliers, and life sciences companies on regulation across a broad range of products and services.

The Work

  • Provide regulatory counsel to healthcare providers and suppliers across the healthcare ecosystem, including hospitals, health systems, outpatient facilities, and healthcare professionals.
  • Support life sciences product regulatory work involving drugs, biologics, medical devices, diagnostics, foods and dietary supplements, and cosmetics.
  • Work with clients that include academic medical and research centers, nonprofit health systems, digital and health technology companies, and investors and management companies.
  • Engage with life sciences companies ranging from established global enterprises to emerging developers and manufacturers, as well as laboratories, trade and professional organizations, and clinical research organizations.
  • Collaborate across practice areas with attorneys in litigation, white collar, transactions, intellectual property, and other disciplines.
  • Take ownership of assignments through independent and creative work, while contributing effectively as part of a team and applying strong research, writing, and analytical skills.

What You Bring

  • At least three years of experience practicing healthcare law.
  • Experience representing hospitals and health systems, healthcare providers, and suppliers.
  • Knowledge of healthcare law and regulatory issues affecting providers, suppliers, or life sciences products.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and creatively, as well as collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Excellent academic credentials and references.
  • Licensed, or currently eligible to become licensed, to practice in the jurisdiction where applying.

Compensation & Benefits

The stated New York salary range is $260,000 to $365,000, commensurate with experience, and the position includes eligibility for an hours-based bonus.
