Our client is seeking an associate with 4–8 years of experience to help companies navigate antitrust review of complex transactions. Based in Redwood City, this opportunity offers substantial involvement in merger filings, agency investigations, and coordination across clients, economists, and deal teams.
The Work
- Manage significant aspects of antitrust review for complex domestic and cross-border transactions, helping move matters from initial filings through agency review.
- Prepare and support Hart-Scott-Rodino (HSR) filings and develop strategies for merger investigations and other regulatory scrutiny.
- Handle Second Request processes, including coordinating and managing document productions responsive to agency inquiries.
- Work directly with clients, economists, and deal teams to coordinate the review process and address issues arising during investigations.
- Contribute to merger-clearance matters across jurisdictions, with exposure to transactions involving substantial regulatory and document-production demands.
What You Bring
- Four to eight years of experience in antitrust and competition law, with substantial merger-control experience.
- Experience preparing or supporting Hart-Scott-Rodino filings.
- Experience with Second Requests and the associated document-production process.
- Background handling merger investigations and significant aspects of antitrust review for complex transactions.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with clients, economists, and deal teams.
- Experience with domestic and cross-border transactional reviews.
