A San Francisco employer-side labor and employment practice is seeking an associate with 3–7 years of experience. The work is primarily litigation, with additional opportunities involving employer advice and investigations, and includes class and representative actions involving wage-and-hour and discrimination claims.
The Work
- Contribute to employer-side employment litigation, working on matters from the practice’s mix of class, representative, and individual claims.
- Work on wage-and-hour class actions, including employment disputes brought on a class basis.
- Assist with discrimination class actions and other representative employment matters.
- Support employment advice work for employers as part of a practice that extends beyond litigation.
- Participate in investigations involving workplace or employment issues.
- Build experience across a practice that combines litigation, advice, and investigations.
What You Bring
- 3–7 years of labor and employment experience; the search is focused on law school classes 2019 through 2023.
- Employment experience at a peer law firm is expected to provide a relevant foundation for the role.
- Experience with employer-side employment litigation is relevant to the practice’s primary focus.
- Experience with class actions is helpful.
- Familiarity with wage-and-hour litigation and representative employment actions is relevant.
- Experience involving discrimination claims is relevant to the matters handled by the team.
- Interest or experience in employment advice and investigations is valuable given the breadth of the practice.

Compensation & Benefits
The stated annual compensation range is $260,000–$420,000, depending on qualifications and operational considerations.
