Position overview

Our client is expanding its Emerging Companies and Venture Capital practice in Palo Alto and is seeking a junior associate with at least two years of experience. The work spans the lifecycle of innovative businesses and includes representing the funds that invest in them, with close collaboration alongside experienced practitioners on sophisticated matters at a national level.

The Work

  • Support company formation matters for innovative businesses, from newly formed startups to established technology market leaders.
  • Work on financing transactions for companies at different stages of growth, contributing to matters involving the funds that invest in them.
  • Assist with mergers and acquisitions involving emerging companies and technology businesses.
  • Contribute to representation of investment funds across the practice’s company lifecycle work.
  • Collaborate closely with experienced practitioners on sophisticated matters handled at a national level.

What You Bring

  • At least two years of relevant experience in emerging companies and venture capital work.
  • Experience at a comparable law firm is preferred.
  • Strong academic credentials and references.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Quantitative skills and Excel proficiency are preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

The client base spans newly formed startups through multi-billion-dollar technology market leaders, and the position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
