Our client is seeking an IP Litigation Associate with 3–6 years of experience to join its IP Litigation team in Washington, D.C. The search is focused on attorneys with top law school credentials and experience in IP and patent litigation.
The Work
- Contribute to intellectual property and patent litigation matters as a member of the IP Litigation team, applying prior litigation experience to the practice’s disputes.
- Work on patent litigation matters; the specific division of responsibilities among case drafting, discovery, hearings, and other litigation tasks will depend on the matter and should be discussed with the team.
- Bring relevant experience to PTAB disputes, an area identified as a plus for this position.
- Apply technical education in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, mechanical engineering, or a similar discipline to work in the IP and patent litigation practice.
What You Bring
- 3–6 years of legal experience; the search is directed to law school class years 2020–2023.
- Top law school credentials.
- Experience in intellectual property and patent litigation.
- An undergraduate degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, mechanical engineering, or a similar field is highly preferred.
- CAFC clerkship experience is preferred.
- Experience with PTAB disputes is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits
The firm states an annual compensation range of $260,000–$390,000, depending on qualifications and operational considerations.
