Position overview

Our client is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented intellectual property attorney with 3–6 years of experience to join its nationally recognized IP Litigation team in New York City. The associate will work on complex, high-stakes life sciences patent disputes, including matters involving innovator pharmaceutical companies.

The Work

  • Represent innovator pharmaceutical companies in patent disputes, contributing to litigation strategy and the management of complex cases.
  • Work on Hatch-Waxman (ANDA) litigation involving pharmaceutical patent disputes.
  • Contribute to biologics patent litigation under the BPCIA.
  • Handle matters in federal district court and before the PTAB, gaining exposure to litigation in both forums.
  • Participate in developing case strategy and counseling clients on life sciences patent disputes.

What You Bring

  • Three to six years of intellectual property law experience.
  • A strong background in life sciences patent disputes.
  • Substantial experience representing innovator pharmaceutical companies in patent disputes.
  • Experience with Hatch-Waxman (ANDA) litigation.
  • Experience with biologics (BPCIA) litigation.
  • Experience handling patent matters in district court and before the PTAB.
  • Strong attention to detail and motivation to contribute to complex litigation and case strategy.

Compensation & Benefits

The stated annual salary range is $260,000–$390,000, depending on qualifications and operational considerations.
