Position overview

Our client is seeking an Investment Funds Secondaries Associate with 3–6 years of experience to join a market-leading, Chambers-ranked team. This opportunity offers substantive involvement in a range of cutting-edge secondary investment transactions and fund-related matters. The position requires in-person availability.

The Work

  • Support continuation fund transactions, contributing to the legal work required to structure and execute these secondary investment transactions.
  • Work on LP-led secondary transactions, helping manage complex matters from transaction development through execution.
  • Assist with fund formations and related fund work as part of a practice focused on the secondary market.
  • Contribute to other types of secondary-market transactions, with opportunities to take ownership of complex assignments in a fast-paced environment.
  • Apply private equity and fund-related experience to transaction work and collaborate with clients on matters as they progress.

What You Bring

  • At least 3 years of relevant legal experience; the role is targeted to associates with approximately 3–6 years of experience.
  • Strong legal experience in private equity, secondaries, and fund-related transactions.
  • Knowledge of continuation fund transactions, LP-led secondaries, fund formations, or other secondary-market matters.
  • Ability to manage complex matters and contribute effectively in a fast-paced practice.
  • Strong legal analysis and transaction execution capabilities.
  • Stellar academic credentials and experience at a comparable law firm.
  • General corporate experience is helpful but not required.
  • Availability to work in person.

Compensation & Benefits

Estimated compensation is $260,000–$390,000 based on the 2026 Cravath base scale; this is an estimate and is not firm-stated compensation.
