Position overview

Our client is seeking an Investment Funds Secondaries Associate with 3-6 years of experience to join a Chambers-ranked secondaries investment funds team. This in-person opportunity involves complex, cutting-edge secondary investment transactions and fund-related work.

The Work

  • Provide legal support on continuation fund transactions, including the transaction work required to advance these complex secondary investments.
  • Work on LP-led secondary transactions, supporting matters across a key segment of the secondary market.
  • Assist with fund formations alongside a practice focused on secondary investment transactions.
  • Contribute to other types of secondary market transactions, gaining exposure to a broad and varied range of deal work.
  • Manage complex matters in a fast-paced environment, taking responsibility for moving transaction work forward.

What You Bring

  • At least 3 years of relevant legal experience; candidates with 3-6 years are sought.
  • Strong legal expertise in private equity, secondaries, and fund-related transactions.
  • Experience supporting secondary investment transactions, including continuation funds or LP-led secondaries, is relevant to the practice.
  • Ability to manage complex matters in a fast-paced environment.
  • Stellar academic credentials.
  • Comparable law firm experience.
  • General corporate experience is helpful but not required.
  • Availability to work in person.
