Our client is seeking an associate with 3–6 years of experience to join its Investment Funds Secondaries practice in Philadelphia. This role offers hands-on involvement in a range of secondary investment transactions, including continuation fund transactions, LP-led secondaries, and related fund formations.
The Work
- Provide legal support on continuation fund transactions, working through the issues and deal steps involved in these secondary investment structures.
- Advise on LP-led secondary transactions and contribute to the execution of sales and other secondary-market deals.
- Support fund formations connected to secondary investment activity, including work on the legal structures and documentation involved.
- Handle other types of secondary-market transactions, with exposure to a broad range of deal structures and evolving market activity.
- Manage complex matters in a fast-paced practice, taking ownership of assigned work across transactions.
What You Bring
- At least 3 years of relevant legal experience; 3–6 years is the target range.
- Experience in private equity, secondaries, and fund-related transactions.
- Strong legal expertise relevant to investment funds and secondary-market deals.
- Ability to manage complex matters in a fast-paced environment and take ownership of assigned work.
- Stellar academic credentials and experience at a comparable law firm.
- General corporate experience is helpful but not required.
- Availability to work in person.
