Position overview

Our client is seeking an associate with 3–6 years of experience to join a Chambers-ranked Investment Funds Secondaries team. This opportunity offers involvement in a broad range of complex secondary investment transactions, including continuation funds, LP-led secondaries, and fund formations.

The Work

  • Provide legal support for continuation fund transactions, including work on the structures and transaction documents involved.
  • Advise on LP-led secondary transactions and related legal issues throughout the deal process.
  • Support fund formations connected with secondary investment activity.
  • Work on other types of secondary market transactions, contributing to the management of complex matters in a fast-paced practice.
  • Handle private equity, secondaries, and fund-related work that may require coordinating issues across transaction structures and related documentation.
  • Engage with clients on transaction matters and help move work forward through execution.

What You Bring

  • At least 3 years of relevant legal experience; 3–6 years is the targeted range.
  • Strong experience in private equity, secondaries, and fund-related transactions.
  • Knowledge of continuation fund transactions, LP-led secondaries, fund formations, or other secondary market transactions.
  • Ability to manage complex matters in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong legal skills suited to supporting sophisticated investment transactions and related fund work.
  • General corporate experience is helpful but not required.
  • Stellar academic credentials and experience at a comparable law firm are required.
  • Availability to work in person is required.

Compensation & Benefits

Estimated base compensation is $260,000–$390,000 based on the 2026 Cravath base scale; this is an estimate, not firm-stated compensation.
