Position overview

Our client is seeking an associate with at least three years of experience to join its investment funds secondaries team in New York City. The role offers exposure to a range of complex, cutting-edge secondary investment transactions and requires in-person availability.

The Work

  • Provide legal support for continuation fund transactions, working on complex secondary investment matters.
  • Advise on LP-led secondary transactions and other types of secondary-market transactions.
  • Work on fund formations alongside a practice focused on investment funds and secondaries.
  • Manage complex matters in a fast-paced environment, applying sound judgment across a varied transaction mix.
  • Support work involving private equity, secondaries, and fund-related transactions.

What You Bring

  • At least three years of relevant legal experience.
  • Strong legal expertise in private equity, secondaries, and fund-related transactions.
  • Experience with secondary investment transactions, including continuation funds or LP-led secondaries, is relevant to the practice.
  • Ability to manage complex matters in a fast-paced environment.
  • Stellar academic credentials.
  • Comparable law firm experience.
  • General corporate experience is helpful but not required.
  • Availability to work in person.
