Position overview

Our client is seeking an associate with 3–6 years of experience to join a Chambers-ranked Secondaries Investment Funds team. The role offers substantial exposure to complex, cutting-edge secondary investment transactions, including continuation funds, LP-led secondaries, fund formations, and other secondary market work.

The Work

  • Provide legal support on continuation fund transactions, helping manage complex deal work and advance matters through their transaction lifecycle.
  • Advise on LP-led secondary transactions, contributing to the execution of transactions involving the transfer of limited partner interests.
  • Support fund formations connected to secondary investment activity, addressing the legal work required to establish and structure funds.
  • Work on other types of secondary market transactions, gaining exposure to a varied and evolving range of investment structures.
  • Manage complex matters in a fast-paced environment, coordinating transaction work across the range of the team's secondaries practice.

What You Bring

  • At least 3 years of relevant legal experience; candidates with approximately 3–6 years are sought.
  • Strong legal expertise in private equity, secondaries, and fund-related transactions.
  • Experience supporting or managing complex transactional matters in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong transaction skills and the ability to contribute to a range of secondary investment matters.
  • Stellar academic credentials and experience at a comparable law firm.
  • General corporate experience is helpful but not required.
