Position overview

Our client is seeking an associate with at least 3 years of experience to join its investment funds secondaries team in Washington, D.C. The position offers work on a broad range of secondary investment transactions and requires in-person availability.

The Work

  • Provide legal support for continuation fund transactions, contributing to complex secondary investment matters.
  • Work on LP-led secondary transactions as part of a practice focused on a wide range of secondary market activity.
  • Support fund formation work connected to the investment funds practice.
  • Handle legal work on other types of secondary market transactions, with exposure to cutting-edge matters.
  • Manage complex matters in a fast-paced environment, taking responsibility appropriate to your experience.

What You Bring

  • At least 3 years of relevant legal experience.
  • Strong legal experience in private equity, secondaries, and fund-related transactions.
  • Experience supporting or advising on continuation fund transactions, LP-led secondaries, fund formations, or other secondary market transactions.
  • Ability to manage complex matters in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comparable law firm experience and strong academic credentials.
  • General corporate experience is helpful but not required.
  • Availability to work in person.
