Our client is seeking an Investment Funds Secondaries Associate with 3–6 years of experience for its dedicated secondaries investment funds practice in San Francisco. The role offers exposure to a broad range of secondary-market transactions, including continuation funds, LP-led secondaries, and fund formations.
The Work
- Support continuation fund transactions, helping address the legal work involved in these complex secondary investment matters.
- Advise on LP-led secondary transactions and related fund and investment issues.
- Work on fund formations connected with secondary-market activity and other investment funds matters.
- Contribute to a range of secondary investment transactions, developing experience across varied deal structures and matter types.
- Manage complex matters in a fast-paced practice and take on responsibility appropriate to experience.
- The work requires collaboration with the team; the client-contact structure was not specified.
What You Bring
- Three to six years of relevant experience, with at least three years of experience required.
- Strong legal expertise in private equity, secondaries, and fund-related transactions.
- Experience or capability relevant to continuation funds, LP-led secondaries, fund formations, or other secondary-market transactions.
- Ability to manage complex matters in a fast-paced environment.
- Stellar academic credentials and comparable law firm experience.
- General corporate experience is helpful but not required.
- Availability to work in person is required.
