Our client is seeking an International Trade Associate with 5–8 years of experience to join its International Trade Advisory and Enforcement practice in Washington, D.C. The position focuses on advising clients on U.S. export controls under the EAR and ITAR.
The Work
- Advise clients on U.S. export-control matters involving the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), applying broad experience to their legal questions.
- Counsel clients on issues involving the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) as part of the practice’s export-control work.
- Analyze export-control questions and develop clear, well-supported legal guidance for clients.
- Prepare strong written legal analysis and communicate advice to clients on matters involving the EAR and ITAR.
What You Bring
- Five to eight years of experience, with law school class years 2018 through 2021 sought for this position.
- Significant and broad experience advising clients on U.S. export controls.
- Experience with the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
- Experience with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
- Strong legal writing and analytical skills.
- Top academic credentials.

Compensation & Benefits
The stated annual compensation range is $310,000 to $420,000, with the amount offered dependent on qualifications and operational considerations.
