Our client is seeking an intellectual property litigation associate with at least four years of substantive experience to join its Silicon Valley practice in Palo Alto. The role offers work on disputes involving important intellectual property assets across several technology-driven and consumer-facing industries.
The Work
- Contribute to litigation strategy for matters enforcing and defending clients’ intellectual property rights, working with a team that brings trial and appellate experience.
- Handle substantive work in federal district court and, where applicable, proceedings before the International Trade Commission (ITC).
- Conduct legal and factual research and develop clear, persuasive written work and analytical assessments to support litigation matters.
- Work on disputes involving patents, copyrights, trademarks, rights of publicity, trade secrets, and related intellectual property issues.
- Engage with matters across life sciences, consumer goods, and high technology, including technologically complex disputes.
- Take independent, creative ownership of assignments while collaborating effectively with colleagues on matters for clients in the United States and around the globe.
What You Bring
- At least four years of substantive intellectual property litigation experience.
- Experience in federal district court litigation and/or ITC proceedings, with particular relevance to this role.
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and creatively while contributing effectively as part of a team.
- Excellent academic credentials and professional references.
- A current license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction, or current eligibility to become licensed there.
- A degree in computer science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, mathematics, physics, software programming, life sciences, or a related field is preferred.

Compensation & Benefits
Estimated base compensation is $310,000 based on the 2026 Cravath scale; this is an estimate and is not firm-stated compensation.
