Position overview

Our client is seeking an attorney with 4–8 years of experience to join its Insurance Recovery practice in San Francisco. The attorney will help policyholders secure defense and indemnity coverage for third-party liability claims and contribute to a busy, varied caseload.

The Work

  • Assist policyholders in securing defense and indemnity coverage for third-party liability claims, advancing their rights under commercial insurance policies.
  • Work directly with insurance company adjusters to pursue coverage and address the policyholder’s coverage needs.
  • Coordinate with underlying defense counsel to support efforts to secure coverage for claims being defended.
  • Contribute to a varied caseload involving a wide spectrum of losses and liabilities and almost every type of commercial insurance policy.
  • Take part in significant policyholder matters, including cases described by the practice as among the largest in the country.

What You Bring

  • At least four years of experience in insurance coverage.
  • Experience with insurance recovery or policyholder-side coverage matters is relevant to the work.
  • Ability to assist in securing defense and indemnity coverage for third-party liability claims.
  • Capacity to work directly and effectively with insurance company adjusters and underlying defense counsel.
  • Experience at an AmLaw 200 firm or policyholder boutique is preferred.

Compensation & Benefits
