Our client is seeking an attorney with 4–8 years of insurance coverage experience to join its Insurance Recovery practice in Washington, D.C. The attorney will help policyholders secure defense and indemnity coverage for third-party liability claims, working directly with insurance company adjusters and underlying defense counsel.
The Work
- Pursue defense and indemnity coverage for policyholders facing a variety of third-party liability claims.
- Work directly with insurance company adjusters to advance coverage positions and seek coverage under applicable policies.
- Coordinate with underlying defense counsel on claims where insurance coverage is being pursued.
- Handle matters involving almost every type of commercial insurance policy and a wide spectrum of losses and liabilities.
- Contribute to a busy and varied caseload that includes significant policyholder matters, with opportunities to take responsibility for advancing coverage work.
What You Bring
- At least four years of experience in insurance coverage; the anticipated experience range is 4–8 years.
- Experience representing policyholders in insurance recovery or coverage matters.
- Knowledge of commercial insurance policies and issues involving defense and indemnity coverage for third-party liability claims.
- Ability to work directly with insurance company adjusters and underlying defense counsel to pursue coverage.
- Experience at an AmLaw 200 firm or a policyholder boutique is preferred.
