Position overview

Our client is seeking an attorney with at least four years of insurance coverage experience to join its Insurance Recovery practice in Los Angeles. The role focuses on securing defense and indemnity coverage for policyholders facing third-party liability claims and other significant losses.

The Work

  • Work directly with insurance company adjusters and underlying defense counsel to pursue coverage for policyholders facing third-party liability claims.
  • Assist in securing defense and indemnity coverage, communicating with the professionals handling the claims and coordinating coverage efforts.
  • Handle a varied caseload involving a wide spectrum of losses and liabilities under almost every type of commercial insurance policy.
  • Contribute to significant policyholder matters, including large-scale cases involving the enforcement of policyholders’ rights to coverage.
  • Engage with a busy Insurance Recovery practice handling a broad range of coverage matters.

What You Bring

  • At least four years of experience in insurance coverage.
  • Experience in policyholder-side insurance recovery or coverage work.
  • Ability to work directly and effectively with insurance company adjusters and underlying defense counsel.
  • Strong capability in pursuing defense and indemnity coverage for third-party liability claims.
  • Experience at an AmLaw 200 firm or a policyholder boutique is preferred.
