Our client is seeking an attorney with 4–8 years of experience to join its Insurance Recovery practice in Seattle. The role focuses on helping policyholders secure defense and indemnity coverage for third-party liability claims through direct work with insurance company adjusters and underlying defense counsel.
The Work
- Work on insurance coverage matters involving third-party liability claims, with a focus on securing defense and indemnity for policyholders.
- Engage directly with insurance company adjusters to advance coverage positions and pursue appropriate insurance protection.
- Coordinate with underlying defense counsel on claims and coverage issues, maintaining communication among the professionals handling the matter.
- Contribute to matters involving almost every type of commercial insurance policy and a wide spectrum of policyholder losses and liabilities.
- Take an active role in a busy, varied caseload that includes some of the nation’s largest policyholder cases.
What You Bring
- At least four years of experience in insurance coverage; the anticipated experience range for the role is 4–8 years.
- Experience handling insurance recovery or coverage matters on behalf of policyholders.
- Knowledge of commercial insurance policies and the issues involved in seeking defense and indemnity coverage.
- Ability to work directly and effectively with insurance company adjusters and underlying defense counsel.
- Experience at an AmLaw 200 firm or a policyholder boutique is preferred.
