Our client is seeking an attorney with 4–8 years of experience to join its Chicago Insurance Recovery practice. The team represents policyholders seeking defense and indemnity coverage for third-party liability claims and handles a busy, varied caseload involving a broad range of commercial insurance policies, losses, and liabilities.
The Work
- Help policyholders secure defense and indemnity coverage for third-party liability claims, advancing coverage positions in coordination with the team.
- Work directly with insurance company adjusters and underlying defense counsel to pursue coverage and address issues arising from the underlying claims.
- Enforce policyholders’ rights under a broad range of commercial insurance policies and support matters involving varied losses and liabilities.
- Contribute to significant policyholder cases as part of a busy practice handling matters that include some of the largest policyholder cases in the nation.
- Coordinate with clients and other matter participants as coverage matters progress, with responsibility appropriate to experience.
What You Bring
- At least four years of experience in insurance coverage or insurance recovery work; candidates with 4–8 years of experience are sought.
- Experience representing policyholders in insurance coverage matters is preferred.
- Knowledge of commercial insurance coverage and issues involving defense and indemnity for third-party liability claims.
- Ability to work directly and effectively with insurance company adjusters and underlying defense counsel.
- Strong written and oral communication skills and sound judgment in managing coverage matters.
- Experience at an AmLaw 200 firm or a policyholder boutique is preferred.
