Our client is seeking an attorney with at least four years of insurance coverage experience to join its Insurance Recovery practice in San Diego. The attorney will help policyholders secure defense and indemnity coverage for third-party liability claims, working directly with insurance company adjusters and underlying defense counsel.
The Work
- Pursue insurance defense and indemnity coverage for policyholders facing third-party liability claims, advancing matters from coverage analysis through direct engagement with the relevant stakeholders.
- Work directly with insurance company adjusters to seek coverage and address policyholders’ claims for defense and indemnity.
- Coordinate with underlying defense counsel to support coverage efforts connected to active liability claims.
- Enforce policyholders’ rights under a broad range of commercial insurance policies and address losses and liabilities across a varied caseload.
- Contribute to significant policyholder matters within a busy Insurance Recovery practice handling a wide spectrum of coverage issues.
What You Bring
- At least four years of experience in insurance coverage.
- Experience working on insurance coverage matters involving policyholders’ rights to defense or indemnity is preferred.
- Background at an AmLaw 200 firm or a policyholder boutique is preferred.
- Ability to work directly with insurance company adjusters and underlying defense counsel on coverage matters.
- Strong coverage analysis, written advocacy, and communication skills relevant to pursuing policyholder coverage are expected.
