Position overview

Our client is seeking an attorney with at least four years of experience to join its Insurance Recovery practice in Austin. The attorney will help policyholders secure defense and indemnity coverage for third-party liability claims in a varied and active practice.

The Work

  • Work directly with insurance company adjusters and underlying defense counsel to pursue insurance coverage for third-party liability claims.
  • Assist policyholders in securing defense and indemnity coverage, coordinating coverage efforts with the professionals handling the underlying matters.
  • Enforce policyholders’ rights under a wide range of commercial insurance policies in connection with varied losses and liabilities.
  • Contribute to a busy caseload involving significant policyholder coverage matters and a broad mix of claims.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in a supportive Insurance Recovery team focused on serving policyholder clients.

What You Bring

  • At least four years of attorney experience in insurance coverage or insurance recovery.
  • Experience working on policyholder-side insurance coverage matters.
  • Ability to work directly with insurance company adjusters and underlying defense counsel to pursue coverage.
  • Sound understanding of defense and indemnity coverage issues involving third-party liability claims.
  • Experience at an AmLaw 200 firm or a policyholder boutique is preferred.
