Position overview

Our client is seeking an associate with 2–3 years of experience to join its New York Executive Compensation & Employee Benefits group. The position offers work on compensation and benefit issues that arise across corporate transactions, financial restructurings, securities matters, and tax compliance.

The Work

  • Advise on executive compensation and employee benefit plans and arrangements in connection with corporate transactions and financial restructurings.
  • Work on compensation and benefits issues arising in mergers and acquisitions, including matters involving public and private companies, private equity, and funds clients.
  • Contribute to financial restructuring and bankruptcy matters involving compensation and benefit considerations for companies, executives, lenders, and creditors.
  • Address securities aspects of executive compensation, including public company disclosure matters.
  • Support work involving corporate governance and tax compliance issues related to compensation and benefit plans and arrangements.
  • Engage with a range of client types, including public and private companies, private equity and funds clients, executives, lenders, and creditors.

What You Bring

  • Two to three years of associate experience in executive compensation and employee benefits matters.
  • Experience addressing compensation and benefits issues in connection with corporate transactions.
  • Experience with compensation and benefits matters in financial restructurings.
  • Knowledge of securities aspects of executive compensation, including public company disclosure.
  • Strong academic credentials are preferred.
  • Comparable law firm experience is preferred.

Compensation & Benefits
