Position overview

Our client is seeking an attorney with 1–7 years of experience to advise on privacy, data processing, and cybersecurity issues in corporate and technology transactions. The work spans major transaction types and a range of technology-driven industries, alongside a team advising private and public companies of all sizes.

The Work

  • Advise on privacy, data processing, and cybersecurity matters arising in mergers and acquisitions and other corporate transactions.
  • Counsel on privacy and data-related issues in public offerings, contributing to transaction work across the capital markets.
  • Support technology transactions and other commercial and strategic matters with privacy and cybersecurity considerations.
  • Work with private and public companies of varying sizes across artificial intelligence and machine learning, cloud computing, software, and fintech.
  • Contribute to a team handling the full range of privacy, data processing, and cybersecurity issues connected to corporate and technology transactions.

What You Bring

  • 1–7 years of legal experience; experience with mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, technology transactions, or other transactional work is required.
  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and superior academic credentials.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with technology industries is desirable.
  • Experience with regulatory policy and enforcement is desirable.
  • CIPP certification is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

The firm states a salary range of $225,000–$420,000 based on year classification, and discretionary merit bonuses may also be awarded.
