Position overview

Our client is seeking a corporate associate with at least three years of life sciences licensing experience for its San Francisco team. The work spans commercial agreements and complex collaborations that help life sciences companies and investors identify, develop, and commercialize innovative products.

The Work

  • Draft and negotiate licensing and other technology-based commercial agreements for life sciences companies and their investors.
  • Advise on intellectual property and technology licensing transactions, addressing legal and business issues that arise in complex deals.
  • Work on strategic alliances and collaborations, helping clients structure partnerships around the development and commercialization of life sciences products.
  • Contribute to joint ventures and other complex strategic transactions, working collaboratively with clients to develop practical solutions.
  • Handle a range of commercial matters, including vendor agreements, as part of a practice spanning the life sciences transaction landscape.

What You Bring

  • At least three years of experience handling life sciences licensing matters.
  • Strong drafting skills and the ability to prepare clear, effective transaction documents.
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills for licensing and other commercial agreements.
  • A degree in biology, chemistry, or a related field is valued.
  • Experience in the biopharmaceutical industry is also relevant.
