Our client is seeking a corporate associate to work on sophisticated life sciences transactions, helping companies and investors structure and negotiate commercial relationships that support the development and commercialization of innovative products. This New York opportunity offers exposure to a broad range of technology-based transactions and close collaboration with clients.
The Work
- Draft and negotiate commercial agreements across the life sciences sector, including vendor agreements and intellectual property and technology licenses.
- Advise on strategic alliances, collaborations, and joint ventures, helping structure relationships that support shared business and development objectives.
- Work with life sciences companies and their investors on technology-based transactions across the product lifecycle, including arrangements to identify, develop, and commercialize products.
- Engage with clients to understand business objectives and develop practical approaches to complex legal and commercial issues in transactions.
- Contribute to matters spanning a range of transaction sizes and complexity, from individual licensing agreements to broader strategic partnerships.
What You Bring
- At least three years of experience in life sciences licensing.
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills, with the ability to work through complex commercial and legal terms.
- Experience with life sciences commercial transactions, including licensing or other technology-based agreements.
- A degree in biology, chemistry, or a related field is preferred; experience in the biopharmaceutical industry is also relevant.
- Ability to collaborate with clients and colleagues to develop solutions to challenging transactional issues.
