Position overview

Our client is seeking an experienced attorney to advise healthcare and technology organizations as digital care models evolve. This New York opportunity brings together healthcare regulation, data protection, AI-related counseling, and transactional work for clients across a dynamic industry.

The Work

  • Counsel healthcare providers, digital health and technology companies, and other organizations on regulatory issues affecting digital health products, services, and business models.
  • Advise clients on data protection requirements, including HIPAA and CCPA/CPRA, and help them assess developing AI laws and related compliance questions.
  • Provide guidance on healthcare fraud-and-abuse rules, including the Stark Law and Anti-Kickback Statute, in connection with client operations and transactions.
  • Support healthcare and life sciences transactions by identifying and addressing regulatory and data-related considerations in the deal process.
  • Work with clients across healthcare services, biotechnology, and medical technology, coordinating as needed with colleagues in complementary practice areas.
  • Draft and negotiate legal documents, manage multiple matters and deadlines, and proactively drive work forward with limited supervision.

What You Bring

  • At least four years of relevant legal experience; experience advising companies in digital health is sought.
  • Law firm experience and a record of high academic achievement.
  • Experience advising healthcare providers, digital health or technology companies, or other organizations on complex healthcare regulatory matters.
  • Working knowledge of HIPAA, CCPA/CPRA, evolving AI laws, and healthcare fraud-and-abuse requirements such as Stark and the Anti-Kickback Statute.
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills, with the ability to provide practical regulatory and data protection advice.
  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills, sound project management, and the ability to manage deadlines and advance matters proactively.
