Our client is seeking an experienced lawyer to advise organizations at the intersection of healthcare, technology, privacy, and artificial intelligence. Based in Boston, this role offers hands-on counseling and transactional work with healthcare providers, digital health companies, and other organizations navigating complex and evolving regulatory requirements.
The Work
- Advise healthcare providers, digital health and technology companies, and other organizations on healthcare regulatory and data-protection issues.
- Counsel clients on HIPAA and CCPA/CPRA requirements, including the privacy considerations raised by digital health products and services.
- Help clients assess and address emerging laws and regulatory questions relating to artificial intelligence.
- Provide guidance on healthcare fraud-and-abuse laws, including the Stark Law and Anti-Kickback Statute.
- Support transactions involving healthcare regulatory, data-protection, and AI considerations, coordinating advice across relevant practice capabilities.
- Draft and negotiate documents and communications, manage multiple deadlines, and proactively drive matters forward with limited supervision.
What You Bring
- At least four years of law firm experience advising companies operating in the digital health space.
- Experience with healthcare regulatory counseling and data-protection matters.
- Knowledge of HIPAA, CCPA/CPRA, and evolving AI laws.
- Experience advising on healthcare fraud-and-abuse frameworks, including Stark and anti-kickback requirements.
- Excellent drafting and negotiation skills, with strong verbal and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines and lead matters forward with minimal supervision.
- A record of high academic achievement.
