Our client’s Redwood City practice advises emerging businesses and the investors behind them as companies move from formation and early strategy to growth financing, public offerings, and other liquidity events. The role offers exposure to a broad range of innovation-driven industries and financing structures.
The Work
- Advise emerging companies on formation and strategic matters, with counsel tailored to their stage, commercial objectives, and evolving needs.
- Support company clients through equity and growth financings, from angel and seed investments to more complex financing arrangements.
- Work on venture and growth capital matters involving the funds and institutional partners that finance entrepreneurial businesses.
- Assist with structured debt and equity solutions, considering financing options across different stages of company growth.
- Help position clients for liquidity events, including public offerings and emerging transaction approaches such as direct listings and deSPACs.
- Gain exposure to businesses across technology and its subsectors, biotechnology and life sciences, and next-generation manufacturing.
What You Bring
- At least three years of experience advising emerging growth companies.
- Experience level appropriate for consideration in the third- through sixth-year associate class.
- Knowledge of company formation and the needs of businesses at early and later stages of growth.
- Experience or demonstrated capability in equity and growth financings, including venture financings.
- Ability to assess and work with a range of financing structures, including debt and equity solutions.
- Interest or experience in public offerings and liquidity events for emerging companies.
