Our client is seeking an attorney with 1–7 years of experience to help companies navigate privacy, data processing, and cybersecurity issues as they pursue significant corporate, technology, and commercial transactions in Salt Lake City.
The Work
- Advise on privacy, data processing, and cybersecurity matters arising in mergers and acquisitions, helping clients address these considerations throughout the transaction process.
- Support public offerings by identifying and advising on relevant data and privacy issues in the context of capital markets work.
- Counsel on technology transactions and other commercial and strategic deals, integrating privacy and cybersecurity considerations into transaction advice.
- Work with private and public companies of varying sizes across artificial intelligence and machine learning, cloud computing, software, and fintech.
- Contribute to a broad transactional practice that addresses the full range of privacy, data processing, and cybersecurity matters connected to corporate and technology transactions.
What You Bring
- One to seven years of attorney experience.
- Experience with mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, technology transactions, or other transactional work is required.
- A J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Superior academic credentials.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with technology industries is desirable.
- Experience with regulatory policy and enforcement is desirable.
- CIPP certification is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits
The stated salary range is $225,000–$420,000 based on year classification, and discretionary merit bonuses may be awarded.
