Position overview

Our client is seeking a corporate lawyer with 3–6 years of U.S. experience to join its Palo Alto practice. The work combines venture capital and growth equity financings on both sides of the table with ongoing counseling for private companies.

The Work

  • Represent companies in venture capital and growth equity financings, contributing to transactions from the company-side perspective.
  • Advise investors in venture capital and growth equity financings, bringing experience across both sides of these transactions.
  • Provide day-to-day counseling to private companies on ongoing corporate matters.
  • Take ownership of projects while coordinating with colleagues and engaging directly with clients.
  • Contribute to local and national client teams, with significant client interaction and substantial responsibility.

What You Bring

  • Three to six years of U.S. legal experience at a large law firm or a sophisticated mid-size law firm.
  • Significant experience with venture capital financings representing companies.
  • Significant experience with venture capital financings representing investors.
  • Significant experience with growth equity financings on both the company and investor sides.
  • Experience providing day-to-day counseling to private companies.
  • Ability to work effectively with clients and other team members.
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership of projects and manage substantial responsibility.

Compensation & Benefits

The firm-stated salary range is $260,000–$495,000, with actual salary based on qualifications and relevant experience.
